Vicki Luttrell

Vicki Luttrell brings a wealth of experience and a passion for mentoring youth to her role as the new head coach of Riptide. With a background rooted in competitive swimming and a dedication to fostering personal growth,  Vicki is committed to creating a positive and supportive environment where swimmers of all abilities can thrive.
 
Born and raised in Hawaii,  Vicki's journey in competitive swimming began at the age of six, leading to a successful career as a distance freestyler and individual medley swimmer. Her collegiate swimming experience, coupled with her time spent competing for various teams in Hawaii and Delaware, has provided her with invaluable insights into the sport.
 
Over the past 15 years,  Vicki has made a significant impact on the youth in our community, serving as a coach and mentor in various settings. Most notably, she coached the MOT Charter High School swim team this year, guiding a record number of team members to success in the state championships.
 
Vicki's coaching philosophy revolves around recognizing the potential of each individual while fostering a sense of belonging and enjoyment within the team. She believes in the transformative power of sports, not only in developing athletic skills but also in instilling important life lessons such as perseverance, teamwork and resilience.
 
As she takes on her new role with Riptide,  Vicki is excited to continue her journey of empowering young athletes to reach their full potential both in and out of the pool. Her dedication, enthusiasm and genuine love for coaching make her a valuable asset to the Riptide family and the broader swimming community.

Joey Bond

Hi, my name is Joey Bond. I graduated from Middletown High School in 2022 and am currently studying economics at Washington College.  I am a also a proud member of the Washington College swim team. In high school, I was a member of the all-state team, a conference champion, and a school record holder. Additionally, I was a club swimmer for Diamond State Aquatics, where I also held team records. I have prior coaching experience at Riptide, as well as working with the Delaware Swim Team and Eastern Shore Aquatics. I’m very excited to join the team and see what we can accomplish this year!

Sydney Bolger

Hello, my name is Sydney Bolger and I have been swimming since I was 9 years old. I swam for a different summer team for many years. I am excited to coach at Riptide for my first summer since aging out of summer league!
