Registration is now open for returning swimmers and swimmers with that have been part of another team/club in the past. If your child has never swam on a competitive team please attend the tryouts.
We are still waiting for the swim meet schedule to be approved. Riptide and Delmarva Swim have both lost a primary contributing member to our programs with the passing of Allan Nelson. But to honor him we are doing everything we can to keep this season going!
Short Summary
Summer Practice(Information about preseason workouts below) – Monday through Friday mornings (6:30 for our advanced group, 8am for intermediate, and 9am for beginners for about an hour)through June and July.
6 Meets – Monday and Thursday evenings ~5-9PM at various locations (Dover, Chestertown, Elkton, Milford, and our home pool at the Edge 18)
Price: $225 silicone cap included
Team Swim Suit: Please visit call https://www.theswimshopde.com/ @302-575-1224 to schedule a fitting ( I know they do this on Sundays and Tuesdays). Tell them you are with Riptide Swim Team and they will know what logo to print on the suit. They have a variety of suits to choose from.
Discounts: Available for multiple children ($20 for first child, $30 for the rest). You will see the discount in the cart

Tryouts
Will be held on June 2nd, 3rd, and if need be the following week from 4-8pm. Please fill out the waiver and bring it with you.
Must be able to swim 25 yards on stomach and back unassisted
without holding on to the lane lines. Must be able to tread water for 1
minute. Ability to float on stomach with face in the water and on back. NO
official “strokes” needed.

Evening practice begins at The Edge 18 Pool (the Legends)
Waves (combined Waves and Tides) 4:00-5:00pm
Breakers (formerly Tidal Waves) 5-6:15pm
Tsunamis 6:15-7:30pm
