 Head Coach   Jackson Forman

This will be my second year coaching for Riptide.  I just completed my freshman year at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport.  My major is Computer Science with a concentration in Gaming and Simulation and a minor in Cyber Security.   I was a swimmer for Riptide for 10 years and I also competed for the Cecil County YMCA Dolphins during the winter seasons for 5 seasons.  I swam competitively for Appoquinimink HS swim team, qualifying all four years for state championships.  I was a 2 year team captain and MVP, part of two record holding high school relays and the last three years had qualified to swim in the finals at states in my individual events.  My specialties were the backstroke and butterfly events.  I am looking forward to a fun and exciting summer of coaching again with Riptide this year.

Coach  Matt Bacon

This will be my second season coaching Riptide and third year coaching overall. I just completed my junior year of college at Widener University where I am studying Mechanical Engineering. I began swimming for Riptide when I was ten years old and eventually began swimming for Sho’men in the winter as well. When high school began, I transitioned to swimming competitively year round for the Dover YMCA along with swimming for Appoquinimink High School for all four years. At Appoquinimink I was a two year captain and a state championship participant for all four years. I was a State finalist for three years and voted the team MVP twice. I competed at the district championships for the Dover YMCA all four years, making finals twice. I was also a part of the Dover YMCA National team my senior year of high school. The last three years I have swam for Widener University and have competed in our MAC conference championships where I made finals four times and was a member of the 2016 Men’s Championship Team. Along with swimming for Widener, I have been a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee since my freshman year and was recently voted to be the Men’s Chair of the committee. I have also been a lifeguard five of the last six years at various pools and was an assistant swim coach and a swim lesson instructor for Maple Dale Country Club two years ago. I look forward to continuing my coaching career with Riptide this summer and helping to develop the team. It is exciting to continue contributing to the team I began my swimming career with.
